Celebrating our team on National Property Managers Day 2022
Often the unsung heroes of the real estate space, Australia’s rental professionals are being celebrated as part of National Property Managers Day on Friday, July 22.
An initiative of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and NSW, the day is about highlighting the efforts of both residential and commercial Property Managers, especially in the unprecedented times of the past two years.
At BresicWhitney, the PM team has navigated numerous recent challenges including COVID lockdowns, out-of-work owners and tenants, the continuing La Nina rainfall, flooding and more. Beyond each hurdle, the BresicWhitney teams have emerged stronger and more resilient in their ability to troubleshoot, keep people in homes, and ensure properties remain leased.
The team has now managed to bring vacancy rates for BresicWhitney rental homes back down below 1% again, but it hasn’t been easy. And amid all the upheaval, BresicWhitney now manages more properties than ever before, regularly leasing homes in numbers that weren’t achievable previously.
Those numbers are testament to BresicWhitney’s core values of togetherness and excellence, from a team that performs with utmost humility every day. Throughout our 4 offices, we’re tipping a hat to everyone in the PM space.
Here’s what some of our team members had to say:
“Today we celebrate our incredible team for all their contributions. Their commitment and resilience is truly inspirational, thank you!”
Donna Chu PM Team Leader West
“Being a Property Manager is undoubtedly one of the most challenging professions in our industry. It demands neutrality, level-headedness, an ability to problem solve instantaneously, and the skill to multi-task at a high level. All while dealing with a great deal of responsibility and expectation, not just from owners, but also from occupants. It’s a role like no other, and very deserving of a dedicated day of recognition. At BresicWhitney it’s the camaraderie and calibre of people that I most admire. From regular peer recognition, to a drink at the pub, PM does it like no other department, and for that they should be proud.”
Will Gosse COO/Director
“I truly believe that we have the best people in the business. We have a team of exceptional people who really care and are so dedicated to achieving the best outcomes. Often, they are navigating challenging situations, especially with recent weather events, which they have handled extremely well all whilst supporting one another. They inspire me each day!”
Chantelle Collin Head of Property Management
“Our Property Managers are the epitome of ‘just getting it done’ and always to a high standard. The whole department is not only one of the most hardworking and dedicated teams I’ve seen, but their overall kindness is unmatched and we appreciate them for it.”
Amanda Ayoub Creative Coordinator
“I’m happy to say that BresicWhitney has transitioned away from a stereotypical approach to PM recruitment and today we have a much more diverse team than we’ve had in the past. On a daily basis, I see the entire group go above and beyond for their internal and external clients without complaint and with their heads held up high. They are the heart and soul of the business. To say we appreciate them is an understatement. We are very lucky to work with them.”
Chris Nunn Director
“To everyone in PM, thanks for all your support with appraising listings and trying to win business, finding tenants and signing up leases. And of course, for the ongoing management of properties and tenants especially through these challenging times. Everybody is always there when we need something. A jobs well done.”
Darren Pearce Sales Consultant
“Property Managers are the backbone of our business, often not given enough recognition for the relentless work required to service our clients to the highest standards that BresicWhitney upholds.”
Andrew Liddell Director
“I acknowledge the complexity that comes with managing a portfolio of properties. Not only is the maintenance component challenging but also managing expectations between landlords and tenants. I appreciate the way our people navigate this process and do so with integrity, empathy and grace.”
