7 sales above $5 million in 1 month
In luxury price brackets this week, high-end properties continued to deliver strong results with 7 sales above $5 million at BresicWhitney in one month.
Topping the list in the Eastern Suburbs and well into the next price point, 120a Windsor Street, Paddington sold for $9.5 million.
Across in the Inner West, 56 Watkin Street, Newtown sold at auction for $5.87 million and set a new price record for the suburb. With 8 registered buyers, 7 of those parties came via personal introductions from BresicWhitney agents over the course of the campaign.
Meanwhile on the Balmain Peninsula, ongoing demand from ready-to-buy home hunters delivered similar outcomes.
5 Alexander Street, Balmain sold at auction for $6.8 million. The eventual buyers were among the first people introduced, inspecting 2 weeks before the campaign launched.
7a Duke Place, Balmain East sold off market in 7 days. Even without advertising on the major portals, 17 qualified buyers were introduced across just 2 open inspections.
25a Clayton Street, Balmain turned heads as one of the area’s renowned architect-designed homes. It sold for $6.5 million.
9 Campbell Street, Hunters Hill welcomed surprising interest for an attached garden residence. Marketed towards downsizers, the views and top Hunters Hill position saw it hit impressive price heights even for this premium area.
On a nearby Peninsula, 3 Watson Street, Putney sold for a new suburb record.
BresicWhitney CEO Thomas McGlynn said the new records and substantial prices showed that the luxury property market continued to be robust.
“It’s my firm belief is that the higher end of the market is still performing stronger than others, while in the categories beneath there is a good amount of people with healthy appetites for buying,” Thomas said.
“This week is another big week of auctions for BresicWhitney and the results that follow will be a good indicator for what the market will most likely look like until the middle of 2022.”
