2020’s biggest month yet
With 101 sales for October, BresicWhitney just saw the biggest month of 2020 so far, and a return to auction selling.
It was no surprise then, to see reports of a lift in Sydney prices. More on that here.
Some of our landmark sales of the month included:
- A $6.41 million Paddington terrace with Maclay Longhurst and Michael Kirk.
- A $3.715 million Balmain East house with Andrew Liddell, and another iconic Balmain residence with Adrian Oddi.
- A $3.03 million Surry Hills house with Christopher Breedon and William Phillips.
- A number of $4 million sales in Hunters Hill with Nicholas McEvoy and Narelle Scott.
- A Chippendale warehouse around $10 million with Shannan Whitney.
The clearance rate for the month was 81% and we saw a surge in auction attendance with more than 4 people registering each time.
In fact, our busiest weekend saw an average of 8 people register across our auctions.

The rental market has turned into a two-speed space. Lifestyle houses and immaculate properties are getting attention. Anything that needs upkeep can be slower.
That said, we had another near-record month with 140 leases, and met more than 1800 inspectees. For people looking for new rental solutions, we took on 47 new property management clients. We’re always here to talk.
